Care

Protect the surface you chose.

Gentle cleaning and finish-specific instructions are the starting point for maintaining motorcycle carbon fibre components.

Clean a cool surface in the shade, lift away loose grit before wiping and use clean, non-abrasive tools. Confirm that any cleaner or treatment is compatible with the actual coating.

Inspect before fitting.

Look over the part and its mounting areas in good light. If it arrives damaged or different from the agreed finish, photograph the condition and packaging, then ask for guidance before installation or alteration.

Wash without grinding in grit.

Let the motorcycle cool. Gently rinse away loose contamination, use a suitable mild wash only when confirmed compatible, and work with clean soft tools. Rinse away residue and dry gently with a clean, non-abrasive cloth. Avoid directing high-pressure water at edges, mounts or nearby electrical components.

Treat gloss and matte differently.

Abrasive polishing can change a matte surface’s sheen. A glossy appearance does not establish that a coating is safe to machine-polish. Ask before using compounds, strong solvents, tar removers, waxes, ceramic treatments or unfamiliar cleaners. A treatment suitable for one finish may be unsuitable for another.

Watch the contact points.

Check where clothing, luggage or nearby parts might rub. After riding in road salt or heavy grime, address contamination with a compatible cleaning method rather than letting it accumulate. Avoid claims that carbon makes the whole assembly immune to corrosion: mounts and surrounding parts still need attention.

When to get advice.

Cracking, looseness, distortion or contact with another component calls for assessment before further use. General care advice does not diagnose damage or replace installation instructions. Send a product-support enquiry with clear photographs and the relevant history.
